Manchester Bach Choir welcomes everyone who has an interest in, and experience of, singing a full range of classical and light choral music . . . we sing choral music with a particular focus on sacred choral works, and reflect the seasons in the theme of our concert programmes, with a programme of lighter music in the summer concert. We perform to a high standard and have a friendly but hardworking atmosphere.

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings, at St Alban's Church in Offerton (on the east side of Stockport) from 7:45pm to 9:45pm, mostly during term times.
We perform a concert each term - before Christmas and in the spring - in which we focus on seasonal and sacred choral music. In the summer, we perform lighter pieces drawing on folk and traditional music as well as 20th / 21st Century pieces.
We are a friendly choir . . . we get togther for reharsals, go to the pub every now and then, and have after-glow parties following our concerts!

We are always keen to recruit new members!
An audition is not required, although previous singing experience is preferred. Although the ability to sight-read music is not essential, it can be very helpful as we rehearse with scores.

There is a membership fee of £50 per term to cover rehearsal and music fees. You can come along and try us out before you commit to membership.
